Ethan Long is an award-winning and internationally recognized creator of children’s content working across books, television, and digital media.

His work is instantly recognizable for its expressive cartooning, big personalities, visual comedy, and playful sense of movement. His characters practically leap off the page and screen, with pictures that often do as much storytelling as the words. Whether creating picture books, early readers, chapter books, television, or digital series, Ethan brings a true cartoonist’s sensibility to everything he creates—funny, energetic, and full of life.

Ethan is the creator of the Emmy-nominated Scribbles and Ink, currently available on PBS KIDS and Epic!, and the Emmy-nominated short-form series Tasty Time with ZeFronk on Disney Junior.

In publishing, Ethan is the author and/or illustrator of more than 150 children’s books, including The Letter Setters, Valensteins, Chamelia, Big Cat, Give Me Back My Book!, Tickle the Duck, and the Geisel Medal-winning Up! Tall! and High!. He has also illustrated major series such as Stick Dog by Tom Watson, Junior Monster Scouts by Joe McGee, and the Dog Meets Dog graphic chapter books.

Drawing on his experience as a creator, author, illustrator, and publishing professional, Ethan also brings his industry perspective to his work as an Associate Agent with Tugeau 2 Art and Literary Agency, where he helps champion and develop new voices in children’s publishing.
