If there’s one thing I’ve always chased, it’s laughs—kid laughs, especially. As a middle child, I was the family goofball; in school, I doodled more than I probably should’ve; and somewhere along the way, making kids smile turned into my life’s work.
Since 2001, I’ve written and/or illustrated over 150 books—board books, picture books, early readers, poetry books, novelty books, and chapter books. I even created two Emmy-nominated animated series and wrote a middle grade novel. No matter the format, my mission’s the same: keep it simple and keep it funny.
I’ve worn a lot of creative hats—illustrator, author, designer, educator, visiting author—and now I also get to help other artists and storytellers find their voice as an art and literary agent.
